Phat with an F

What have I been up to lately, you might ask? Not I damn thing, would be my reply.

I've finished two books since Christmas, while interesting, weren't by any means life-affirming or altering. And I could really use some altering.

New year resolutions have come and gone and I still find myself sitting at home not exercising. My newly purchased balance ball sits in the corner of the room ignored. My protein shakes and nutritional supplements cry out from the cupboards. I however ache for the comfort of my futon and mind numbing television.

I need some motivation. Feel free to reply with any links or words of wisdom that might just be the kick in the junk I need to get off my ass.

Do not sit at home. Go to a coffee shop or something after work. That will, at the very least, release you from the clutches of the television for a short while.

Also, as an aside, I received an IOL star last friday. I guess it is time to quit and move to a shitty state.

actually, I can barely even bring myself to exercise at home .. it's hard to do. Do what Mike says and try to be somewhere else.

z.monkey - Thats cool. I didn't get my star until after I quit (4 months after). I don't want to take away any of the joy that come with the award, but it's been a long held belief that the IOL star is give out to those in indirect proportion to the amount of work they do. That's why Ben has 5 and Gerry has 1. So its nice to see your finally relaxing and not working so much.

Are coffee shops open at 9pm?

Incidentally, there is a home version of the taiko drum game "Taiko no tatsujin" over here if anyone wants it .. and has a modded PS2 that can play import games. Hmm, I guess that eliminates everybody.

Also, I am sure there are places in the city to hang out late at night. Taco Cabana is one of them.

Dan - What's the point in hanging out by yourself? I could go to Taco Cabana but what would I do but eat plantains, that would be tasty but not much fun.

Honestly if you saw me sitting down at a table in a coffee shoppe, would you walk over and sit and chat? I know I wouldn't...wait, unless I had a really kick-ass t-shirt of a band I knew. Maybe then I would talk to myself. That's it...I need to find a kick ass t-shirt.

Anonymous - Although both of those sound like fun, I tend to avoid physical labor as much as possible. Maybe you and my brother should stop by Atlanta. Then I can take you two to Taco Cubano where all the cool and trendy people hang out.

No...not true at all!!! You didn't get the jobs b/c:
1) The first time, it was god. You didn't want to be a part of that stuff -trust me.
2) You were a developer interviewing for a SQA position. That's like smushing a duck into a badger suit.

They weren't the right match. That's all. It has nothing to do with intelligence neighbor!

porra, Al, I think you got Tetsuya pissed at me. He was asking me the other week (as always) whether I had a girlfriend or not, and I told him No, which is true, but apparently then you told him otherwise and now he thinks I`m a liar. Please, fix!

Pass him a note during study hall or something.

Dan I didn't lie to nigga Tet, I told him you had many girlfriends in Japan. So since I didn't lie, I guess you did. He's right to be pissed at you.

I've already seem that thing you linked too. At the Consumer Electronics Showcase in Las Vegas, Jackie Chan was there promoting it. Basically the game has this mode where you see how many step you can take on a power pad in 1 minute. Basically Jackie had an insane number and was challenging people as they walked by. There was a large crowd so I didn't get to try it or talk to Mr. Chan.

I really want to try that boxing one, but is it worth buying the system and the boxing set? I don`t know!!
